Take A Big Bite Out Of Candy Crush Saga's Delicious New Update

February 25, 2013
The number-four top free iPhone app and the number-eight top free iPad app in the U.S. App Store has just received another major update. Yes, has. That's no grammatical oversight, because the former and the latter are one and the same. And it goes by the sweet name of Candy Crush Saga. Late last month, this immensely popular freemium match-three game was updated to a total of 215 levels with the addition of 30 new ones. Now, Candy Crush Saga has confected another set of 30 new levels, bringing its total level count to 245. Delicious! The latest update to the game also introduces two new gameplay elements, namely, Candy Cannon and Mystery Candy. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Candy Cannon indicates where licorice, bombs, and ingredients are set to appear. Mystery Candy, on the other hand, revels a hidden candy when switched. But do exercise chocolate-coated caution when using it, as it's liable to reveal nasty candy. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later, the new version of Candy Crush Saga is available now in the App Store for free. Candy Crush Saga is developed by King.com, which is also behind the iOS bubble-shooting game Bubble Witch Saga, which in turn also began as a popular Facebook game.
