Cydia Tweak: How To Connect A PlayStation Controller To An iOS Device With Blutrol 3.0

March 17, 2013
In my opinion, first person shooter games are best played with a physical controller. While on-screen controls are nice, they won’t give you the same experience as a traditional gaming console. Thanks to Blutrol 3.0, a PS3 controller can now be paired with an iOS device to help improve your gaming experience. Blutrol will allow you to play almost any game that uses on-screen controls with a Bluetooth controller. Today, we're going to show you how to connect a PlayStation DualShock 3 controller to an iOS and set it up to work with Gameloft's Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour. Check out our video overview below to learn how to connect a PS3 controller to your iOS device: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qXqSTqy-pM

Overall, the process is quick and simple, but it’s important to note that you will need a computer once to set up the DualShock 3 controller. You’ll need to download SixPair to your Mac or PC in order to successfully connect controller. You can download SixPair for Mac or PC using this link. SixPair will copy the Bluetooth Mac address of the DualShock 3 controller to your iOS device and allow Blutrol to make a connection. Check out our video tutorial above for a detailed look at the entire process. Currently, Blutrol is available in the BigBoss repository for $6.99. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
