Cydia Tweak: Give Your Lock Screen A Custom Look With Vexil

March 12, 2013
If you’re looking for a great way to customize your lock screen, this new Cydia tweak may be for you. Vexil gives you the ability to change just about anything on your lock screen without requiring a respring. This new tweak allows you to customize the text, orientation, bar color, knob size, and much more. Give your lock screen a fresh coat of paint with Vexil. The only downside to this tweak is that it lacks a reset button. I would like to see the developer implement a reset feature to allow users to revert back to the stock iOS lock screen. Be careful when setting the “Custom Dim Delay” option. If you set it too low, there will be virtually no dim delay when you attempt to unlock your device. This will cause the screen to go black immediately after pressing the lock or home button. If this does happen to you, restart your device while holding the volume up button to boot into Mobile Substrate Safe Mode. Now, you’ll be able to uninstall the tweak and reboot your device. Currently, Vexil is available in the BigBoss repository for $0.99. This tweak is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and requires iOS 6 or higher.
