Reuters Launches New iOS App With Impressive Interface And Features

March 21, 2013
The world-renowned London-based news agency Reuters has just released a new app for iOS. Simply called Reuters, the app is said to bring "the latest reporting and market data from the world's most trusted news organization." And that's pretty much all that is stated in the app's App Store description. But it doesn't mean that the new Reuters app for iOS is lacking in features. On the contrary, the app offers an impressive feature set designed for easy and effective consumption of the news that matter to you. Reuters for iOS has six main news sections: Home, World, Politics, Business, Tech, and Market News. In addition to those, the app provides a couple of other main sections, namely, Saved Stories and Watchlist. Saved Stories is, of course, where you can access the articles that you have saved. You can save articles by tapping the appropriate button in the app's share panel, which also includes options to share articles via Facebook, Twitter, and email. As for the Watchlist section, this is where you can keep abreast of developments concerning your favorite companies. For example, after adding Apple in your Watchlist, you can quickly see the company's current stock performance as well as a list of recent stories centered on Apple. The app also boasts an interactive stock market chart feature, which, like the different animation effects and gestures supported by the app, is simply a joy to use. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Reuters for iOS is available now in the App Store for free. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
