Cydia Tweak: Capture Photos Or Videos From Your Home Screen With QuickShoot Pro

April 14, 2013
There’s a new Cydia tweak available that will add some helpful camera shortcuts to iOS device. QuickShoot Pro allows you to capture photos or videos from just about anywhere on your iOS device. Once you’ve installed this tweak, you’ll be able to take a photo by double tapping on the camera icon. Of course, this won’t allow you to line up your shot, but if you’re in a hurry, it’ll definitely speed up the process. You’ll also have the ability to record video by triple tapping on the camera icon. Within the tweak's settings you can select which apps you'd like to use as quick capture shortcuts, but the Camera icon will always have this functionality. If you need more control over the photos taken with this tweak, you can set up an Activator method to bring up an overlay with HDR options, camera switching, and flash settings. Activator methods can also be set up for taking photos and videos without using the app icon shortcuts. Like I mentioned above, you're sacrificing framing the shot, but if you’re in a hurry, QuickShot Pro may be very useful. It's important to note that this tweak is only compatible with iOS 6 or higher. Currently, QuickShot Pro is available in the BigBoss repository for $0.99.
