Don't Like The Look Of iOS 7? Consider These Alternative Designs
June 11, 2013
It was bound to happen. Just hours after Apple unveiled the radically redesigned iOS 7, alternative designs are popping up across the Internet from artists who think they can do better.
Designer Leo Drapeau, for example, seems to like the official look of iOS 7. However, the Paris-based designer has tweaked it a little bit nonetheless by giving it a more “detailed, coordinated and just cleaner” feel. He also retained the previously used iOS border radius for the icons.
Next is Graphicure / Luca, who opines, "I can't believe what Apple showed us, this is a simple idea for a better iOS 7."
Meanwhile, designer Sameer Ahmed says that he “couldn’t look at the icons Apple created.” He thinks that his design is nicer.
Finally, there’s Zach Forrester, who offers icons ever so slightly different than Apple’s own.
Personally, I like them all -- including Apple's own. These designs, and many others, come from Dribbble users.
Something tells me that the jailbreak community will be seeking some of these folks out in the coming months. What say you?
