AP Stylebook 2013 Out Now On iOS, Supports Importing Of Notes From 2012 Edition

July 10, 2013
Late last May, the 2013 print edition of the Associated Press Stylebook and Briefing on Media Law, or AP Stylebook for short, was released, marking the 60th anniversary of the popular style and usage guide. Now, the official iOS app of the new edition of the AP Stylebook has been released in the App Store. Like its source material, the AP Stylebook 2013 iOS app features dozens of new and updated entries for the current year, including broadened guidelines on social media:
The section on social media has been expanded with additional terms and definitions, including circles, flash mob and Google Hangout. Also broadened is information on how to secure, authenticate, attribute and reference user-generated content for text, photo captions and video scripts.
The new AP Stylebook 2013 app also comes with the ability to import data from its predecessor, the AP Stylebook 2012 app for iOS, which itself was recently improved with support for saving notes when updating. You can import all of your notes, entries, and favorites from the AP Stylebook 2012 app to the AP Stylebook 2013 app, provided that you have the latest version of the former, that is, version 1.2. AP Stylebook 2013 is available now in the App Store for $24.99, the same price as that of AP Stylebook 2012. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. Unfortunately, AP Stylebook 2013 appears to be stuck in 2012 and earlier as far as its outmoded interface is concerned. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
