Halfbrick's Age Of Zombies Finally Updated With Retina Graphics Plus New Chapter
July 4, 2013
Halfbrick Studios, the developer behind the acclaimed arcade games Fruit Ninja and Fish Out of Water, has just unleashed a brand new update for its hit dual-stick shooter game, Age of Zombies.
This new update is the first update to arrive for Age of Zombies in well over two years. And it brings a new story chapter, some performance enhancements, and remastered graphics.
In the new story chapter, you get to journey to the Wild West and arm yourself with new weapons to battle new zombies and unlock new achievements.
As for the performance enhancements brought by the new update, Halfbrick remarks: "Barry has used the power of time travel to squash bugs for the benefit of all mankind. He's just that kind of guy!"

Perhaps most importantly, the new Age of Zombies update brings support for high-resolution Retina graphics as well as screen optimization for iPhone 5 and the fifth-generation iPod touch.
The new version of Age of Zombies is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later.
Age of Zombies features none other than Barry Steakfries as its protagonist. Barry Steakfries is also the lead game character in a couple of other Halfbrick games, the action platformer Monster Dash and the endless runner Jetpack Joyride.
