Rovio Account Launches Worldwide To Offer Syncing Across Multiple Platforms
Rovio has introduced a new feature that allows gamers to store their progress and continue playing on another device, regardless of platform. Rovio Account is currently available on the original Angry Birds game and on The Croods. They note that the new account feature will eventually roll out to other Angry Birds and non-Angry Birds titles. At launch, Rovio Account is only available on iOS and Android-based devices. Most likely, however, it will extend to other platforms, including OS X, in the coming months. To get started with Rovio Account, just start the Angry Birds game, press the account button, and follow the instructions given on the screen. In The Croods, open the game and tap “Register” at the bottom of the screen. After registering for a Rovio Account, you will be sent a verification email. Click the link in the email to verify your account within 48 hours of registering and you’re good to go! Angry Birds, Angry Birds HD, and The Croods are available in the App Store.
