Netflix Officially Launches Personal Profiles For iOS Devices, Apple TV And More

August 1, 2013
Netflix has officially introduced individual user profiles. The feature is being made available on numerous devices, including the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. The feature allows users to create up to five additional profiles for each member of a household that uses Netflix. Each person will get personalized suggestions based on what they watch and rate, as well as separate Recently Watched and Instant Queue lists. You can also connect each person to a different Facebook account to get personalized suggestions from friends. To get started, all you have to do is provide a name on Netflix’s main screen and follow the directions.

Take a look:

Netflix plans on pushing out the new profile feature to users in the coming days. It will be available on iOS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and newer smart TVs and Blu-ray players. The feature is also coming to the Apple TV. Personally, I can't wait to start using this feature. It will be nice to finally separate my daughter's collection of cartoons from the shows that I enjoy.
