In one of my favorite books, a quirky character asks, “Grammar is the greatest joy in life, don’t you find?” Why, yes, in my view at least, grammar is one of the greatest (if not exactly the greatest) joys in life. And if you think so, too, you’re likely to enjoy playing the recently released Grammar Pop HD for iPad.
Grammar Pop HD is a fun word game for adults and children alike. In the game, you have to pop clouds by matching words in sentences with their corresponding parts of speech. As you progress, you get to improve your familiarity with the different parts of speech, ranging from nouns and verbs to gerunds and participles:
The sentences get longer, the parts of speech get harder, and the timer gets shorter as you pop more clouds and advance through Grammar Pop. You won’t even know you’re learning!
Grammar Pop HD is available now in the App Store for $1.99. The app is optimized for iPad 2, third-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPad, and iPad mini.
Gramar Pop HD, by the way, is brought to us by none other than Grammar Girl herself, Mignon Fogarty. Fogarty is best known for producing the popular educational podcast Grammar Girl’s Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing.
