The Popular Yahoo! Weather App Is Now Available For Android

One of the most popular iOS apps is now available for Android. The free Yahoo! Weather app is now available via Google Play. According to Yahoo:
The new Yahoo! Weather Android app showcases the new beautiful design you’ve been waiting for. We’ve brought gorgeous Flickr photos of locations by weather and by time of day to the front of our experience. We’ve also added more data than ever before, Yahoo! Weather now includes 10-day forecasts, 24 hour forecast, chance of precipitation, wind and pressure, moon phases, UV patterns, sunrise and sunset times, an interactive map and a new widget for your lock screen.
Yahoo! Weather launched in the App Store in April. Since then, many of its features have been migrated to Apple’s native Weather app for iOS 7. The Yahoo! Weather app for iOS recently received its first major update, which increased the app’s hourly forecast and daily forecast to 24 hours and 10 days, respectively. It also added support for displaying ultraviolet information for select countries in the app. Now you can see the UV index in a city’s details view, providing a forecast of the risk of overexposure to the sun.
