Dots Update Brings An Endless Mode Via In-App Purchase

October 11, 2013
Popular (and addictive) game Dots has just received an update that adds a new mode to the fun. For an in-app purchase of $1.99, gamers can unlock Endless Mode. As the name suggests, it allows users to play without the hassle of time or move limitations. Version 1.9.1 of the app also brings an even more simplified design to the game. Dots is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. Along with Endless Mode, there are in-app purchase opportunities to buy more dots to make playing the game easier. If you haven’t tried out the game from developer Betaworks One, it’s definitely impressive. Even though the premise is extremely simple – connect as many same-colored dots as possible – Dots is challenging and fun. It also offers Twitter and Facebook integration so you can battle friends for the best scores. In her original review back in May, our own Christine Chan was very positive about Dots:
This is a simple pick-up-and-play game that will definitely kill some time. It’s incredibly simple, but difficult to master, and will have you thinking, “I can do better, just one more game” over and over again. Once you get going on it, Dots will be hard to put down.
Previous updates to the title have added universal support for the iPad/iPad mini along with a moves-based mode and other trophies.
