VLC App Updated With iOS 7 Redesign, Google Drive Integration And More Features

VLC for iOS has just received a significant update that introduces a new look along with a number of new features and improvements. First off, the latest update to the official iOS edition of the popular cross-platform multimedia player brings about a design refresh that, of course, matches the flat and simple style of iOS 7. The update also adds a couple of notable features involving a couple of popular cloud storage services. One, it adds file integration with Google Drive. And two, it adds support for streaming files from Dropbox. Furthermore, the update includes the following notable enhancements:
  • New multitouch gestures
  • Improved library for TV Shows and Audio
  • Better UPnP integration, with downloading support
  • A startup tutorial
  • New streaming formats and protocols supported
  • Rewritten WiFi upload
  • Improved privacy when using Passcode Lock
The latest update to VLC for iOS also includes some network interaction tweaks and quite a few interface improvements to go with the app's new iOS 7 design. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.1 or later.
