Bear With Halfbrick As It Prepares To Officially Launch Its Bears Vs. Art Puzzle Game

A week ago, we reported that Halfbrick Studios had soft-launched its newest game, Bears vs. Art. Now, the Brisbane-based developer that's also behind such popular iOS games as Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride has officially announced the new title. In a press release, Halfbrick states:

In Halfbrick’s quirkiest game yet, Rory the bear is quite bewildered by the recent art galleries cropping up in his forest home. Snooty millionaires are admiring their latest collections and proclaiming their love of fine wines and cheeses, all while Rory is trying to enjoy a cup of tea and a nap. Art is dumb to him, so players can now join his fight to rid the forest of these pointless pieces invading his home!

Billed as Halfbrick's "first true puzzle game," Bears vs. Art challenges you to help Rory succeed in his mission to sabotage so-called works of art in more than a hundred galleries. Each piece of art is protected by sneaky security measures including lasers, spikes and mind-bending portals. Not to mention snooty guests, nosy security guards and art-snatching thieves, who will all make Rory’s quest more troublesome.

Bears vs. Art is out now in soft-launch mode in the App Store in Australia and Canada. The game is available for free, with in-app purchases offered for optional upgrades. According to Halfbrick, Bears vs. Art's global launch is "coming soon." Bears vs. Art is Halfbrick’s first new release this year.
