GoPro Updates Official iOS Companion App With New Design For iOS 7

June 6, 2014
GoPro, the popular brand of extreme action cameras, has just updated its official iOS companion app. As a result, GoPro App, as the app is simply called, has been redesigned for iOS 7. Indeed, while it retains its dark color scheme and navigation structure, the app now features flat and simple UI elements all around. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, the new version of GoPro App is available now in the App Store for free. GoPro App was last updated back in March with support for wirelessly updating the software of HERO3+ cameras. HERO3+ camera compatibility was added to GoPro App through a prior update in October last year. That update also added the ability to preview video in near real-time with up to four times faster live video preview for HERO3+ cameras. It also added support for wirelessly updating the camera Wi-Fi network name and password. Before that, GoPro App was updated to version 2.0 in July last year with the following abilities: view photos and play back videos, copy photos and videos to the device camera roll for sharing, and browse and delete files on the camera’s microSD card. GoPro App essentially offers full remote control of all compatible camera functions. It also features the GoPro Photo and Video of the Day. [gallery]
