Noom Weight update features Food Oracle, custom dishes and barcode search

July 17, 2014
Noom Weight has just received an update aimed at better helping you keep your weight in check with three new food-focused features. First off, there's the Food Oracle, which predicts what you'll eat next based on your eating habits and lets you log food faster as it gets smarter over time. The latest update to Noom Weight also introduces custom dishes. According to the Noom team:
When you're trying to lose weight, it's important to eat as much healthy, home-cooked food as possible. But we know that not every recipe is going to be available in our food database. That's why we've implemented Custom Dishes. Custom Dishes allow you to log all the ingredients in your recipe once, and save it for future use.
Last but not least, the update also adds the ability to search Noom's packaged food database by barcode. Note, though, that this feature initially works with the app's English food database and devices running iOS 7 only. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, Noom Weight is available on the App Store for free, with in-app purchases offered for unlocking additional features as part of Noom Pro subscriptions. Just yesterday, UP by Jawbone received a food-focused update of its own, introducing Food Score and other features for helping users eat better.
