Apple's media event on Oct. 16 will feature new iPads, OS X Yosemite and more
Mark your calendars for Thursday, Oct. 16. According to Re/Code, that’s when Apple will hold its next media event. The company will reportedly unveil a new iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina display, and iMacs. Apple will also discuss rollout plans for OS X Yosemite.
But unlike last month’s media extravaganza at the Flint Center in Cupertino, Calif., the next event will be be held at Apple’s Town Hall Auditorium, according to the site:
Given the breadth and spectacle of Apple’s September event, this one will be a more laid-back affair held at the company’s Town Hall Auditorium in Cupertino, without any mysterious white structures and awkward one-song concerts. Apple declined comment.
Re/Code correctly predicted the date of the September iPhone 6 and Apple Watch event, so this is almost a sure thing.
While the next-generation of iPads have been on the radar for a while, rumors regarding the iMacs have just recently popped up. The desktop computer is expected to offer a Retina display, possibly capable of offering 4K resolution or higher.
We’ll definitely let you know if we hear any more information about the upcoming event.
