Griffin Technology wasted no time jumping into the Apple Watch accessory market. The company recently announced the new WatchStand for the device.

Compatible with all versions of the watch, users can place the stand on flat surfaces like a nightstand, tabletop, or desktop. After feeding the charging cable through the post, simply lay the watch on the center of the stand to charge it. It can also charge the watch in either a vertical or horizontal position.

The stand’s weighted base can even hold any size of iPhone in a perfect media viewing angle. Users can wrap any extra iPhone charging cord around the stand’s grooved post.

Here’s a quick promo video about the stand.

The stand will arrive sometime this summer and retail for $29.99. More information about the WatchStand can be found on Griffin’s site.

And make sure to check back on Friday when I’ll be highlighting other Apple Watch companions in my weekly This Week in Accessories feature.

Originally announced back in September, Apple provided much more information about the watch during a special media event on Monday. The watch will be available to preorder on Friday, April 10 and will officially arrive two weeks later on Friday, April 24.

There are three different models of the Apple Watch. The low-end Sport starts at $349 while the mid-range Apple Watch tier ranges in price from $549 to $1,099. The Apple Watch Edition, with its 18-karat gold case, ranges from $10,000 to $17,000.
