Another day, yet another Facebook app. The social networking giant announced recently that Moments is available to download on the App Store now.

From Facebook Labs, the app’s aim is to make it quick and easy to privately share photos with friends who attend the same event – anything from a wedding to just a simple night out.

Facebook talks more about the app in a blog post:

Syncing photos with the Moments app is a private way to give photos to friends and get the photos you didn’t take. Moments groups the photos on your phone based on when they were taken and, using facial recognition technology, which friends are in them. You can then privately sync those photos quickly and easily with specific friends, and they can choose to sync their photos with you as well. Now, you and your friends have all the photos you took together.

Here’s a quick video about Moments as well. Click here if you can’t see it.

The app even keeps all of the synced photos organized and allows users to search the images to find specific shots that they, or their friends, are in.

Moments is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. If you and your friends are big Facebook users, the app definitely sounds like a great way to relive an event from a number of different angles, or in this case camera lenses.
