You’re driving along, listening to Beats 1, and an awesome song comes on. You really want to know what the title of the song is, but don’t have time to look at your phone to find out. After all, you’re driving. So, what can you do to identify the track that just finished playing when you reach your destination? Unless the song is part of a featured playlist, you might be out of luck. Luckily, there is now a way to find out.

Web developer Callum Jones realized this was a problem that needed solving, so he created the Beats1Plays Twitter account dedicated to tweeting the name of the track and artist of each song played on Beats 1. If you can’t stop what you’re doing to check the title right away, you just have to scroll back through the feed until you find it.

It’s a terrific idea, and I’m glad Jones has done it. It’s an unofficial Twitter feed, so it’s not run by Apple, but it seems to be accurate even down to the periodic interviews conducted on the station.
