Apple's 2015 Back to School deal comes to the Web page

August 7, 2015

In July, Apple kicked off its 2015 Back to School promotion by offering a free pair of Beats Solo On-Ear Headphones with the purchase of an eligible Mac. At the time, though, the deal was only available when you shopped in a brick and mortar Apple Store. The promotion has finally arrived on Apple’s online store, though, while also expanding to a handful of European countries.

The promotion can now be found on Apple’s home page, with a link that leads users to the Education Pricing microsite. Once on the Education site, users are reminded that they can receive a free pair of Beats Solo2 headphones by purchasing an eligible Mac, and can upgrade to Beats Solo2 wireless headphones for $100 more.

According to a report from 9to5Mac, Apple has also started emailing recent Mac buyers. The emails inform those buyers that they are eligible for the free pair of headphones in black, red, white, gray, blue, or pink. All customers have to do to claim the deal is reply with a shipping address.

As we noted previously, this year’s Back to School promotion is quite a bit different from past deals. Last year, for instance, you could get a $100 Apple Store gift card with the purchase of an eligible Mac. If you purchased an iPhone or iPad, you received a $50 Apple Store gift card. For this year’s promotion, eligible Macs include the iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac Pro.
