Triber: a smart social app for connecting with friends and colleagues
Triber, a free app for the iPhone and iPod touch, promises to make it easier than ever for iOS device owners to connect with friends, family members, and colleagues.
In the app, iOS device owners are offered the chance of creating their own "app" for friends to add to their mobile device. In this application of yours, all of your contact information will be available for other users to interact with. Usefully, this can include your social presence (including Facebook — if you dare! — and Twitter), allowing all of your timelines to integrate seamlessly in one place.
Triber explains:
In 30 seconds, choose your App name, icon, add your content, associate your favorite social networks… As if by magic, YOUR app is generated on the go! When ready, share a simple link with your community to download your app instantly.
Besides Facebook and Twitter, Instagram and YouTube profiles can be integrated within your Triber app and shared with your "tribe," too.
Personally, I’m not sure how I’d use Triber, though the concept is interesting and I do think there’ll be use cases out there. For instance, if you run a club or group, Triber might allow you to connect with all of your members in a more interesting, interactive, and immersive way. Of course, if you have a large following on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or YouTube, Triber could be particularly useful for you in this respect, too.
