One of the most iconic iPhone speakers has just received a modern makeover. Bowers & Wilkins has just unveiled an updated version of its Zeppelin speaker.

As the name suggests, the Zeppelin Wireless ditches the 30-pin dock from the previous versions and adds in Apple’s AirPlay protocol. So that means you’ll be easily able to play music from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. It also features Spotify Connect and Bluetooth technology.

The material and shape of the new speaker’s subwoofer has been changed to add a larger driver while a longer voice coil allows for even deeper bass coverage at loud volumes. The speaker cabinet has been reinforced with a thicker front facia to allow for better sound and no vibration.

The Zeppelin Wireless retails for $699.99 and can be purchased now directly from the company’s site. It will arrive in other retail locations later this month.

While it’s not exactly a bargain, Bowers & Wilkins is definitely known for producing high-end and premium audio equipment, and the new speaker looks to continue that tradition.
