The next-generation of iPhone X is offering two different models to select from – the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max.

Both of the models offer the same internal specs, but the iPhone X Max has a 6.5-inch display in roughly the same footprint of an iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone Xs has a 5.8-inch screen just like the 2017 model.

An A12 Bionic chip provides a number of speed improvements including a GPU that’s up to 50 percent faster. Even with that major upgrade, the models sport better battery life with the iPhone Xs going up to 30 minutes longer and the iPhone Xs Max and hour and 30 minutes more than the iPhone X.

Face ID is also faster.

On the rear dual-camera system, photographers can take advantage of Smart HDR create images with high dynamic range and improved image detail. The depth of field can be adjusted by users in the Photos app, and Portrait Mode bokeh has also been improved.

The handsets are now IP68 rated, meaning they are water resistant in up to 2 meters of water for 30 minutes and can fend off everyday spills.

Buyers can pre-order both handsets starting on Friday, Sept. 14. They will officially arrive on September 21.

Both models are available in gold, space gray, or silver.

The iPhone Xs Max starts at $1,099 for a 64GB model and jumps to $1,249 for the 256GB model. A 512GB version tops out at $1,449.

A completely new model, the iPhone Xr brings a number of interesting features to the most reasonably priced 2018 model.

The handset sports a 6.1-inch display that supports True Tone technology. Powered by the same A12 Bionic chip in the iPhone Xs series, it also features Face ID for Animoji and Memoji in iOS 12.

A single-sense camera will bring Portrait Mode and Portrait lighting features to images.

Pre-orders will begin on Friday, Oct. 19 and the handset will hit the market one week later on Friday, Oct. 26.

There are six different colors to select from – white, black, blue, yellow, coral, and Product(RED).

The 64GB version is $749 while the 128GB an 256GB version costs $799 and $899, respectively.

Apple also announced that iOS 12 will officially arrive on Monday, Sept. 17.
