Now you don’t have to choose the computer or iOS device with which you want to pair up your keyboard. You can connect this keyboard with up to three devices at once. You’re not even limited to Apple computers, iPads, and iPhones. The Logitech K780 works with PC, Mac, Chrome OS, Android, and iOS. I had the opportunity to test out this little wonder; let’s take a closer look at its features.

This powerful wireless keyboard works with your iPhone, iPad and computer at the same time.

Switching between your devices requires just the press of a button

This is not a lightweight travel keyboard; this is full-sized, full-service keyboard. It has all of the features you expect from a computer keyboard and even includes a number pad for rapid number input and calculations.

There is a ridge along the back where you can place your devices. I had no trouble inserting my 9.7-inch iPad Pro and iPhone 7, both with their protective cases and glass screen protectors on, in this slot. It’s designed to be universal, to hold nearly any portable device.

There are three white buttons, F1, F2, and F3, clearly visible on this black keyboard. You connect each of these buttons to a particular device via Bluetooth. I connected the first button, F1, to my iPad, and the second, F2, to my iPhone. Tapping the F1 button takes me to my iPad. Whatever I type on the keyboard shows up on my iPad. Tapping the F2 button takes me to my iPhone, so what I type shows up there. I didn’t have a desktop computer to add, but you could do that as well. A quick tap of the white buttons moves you back and forth quickly between your connected devices, without ever having to touch any of the screens. It works exactly as Logitech claims.

You’ll enjoy typing on the Logitech K780 keyboard. The keys are round, slightly concave, perfectly spaced, and have just the right amount of give and click to them.

What I Didn't Like

What I Didn't Like

There’s not much to dislike about this keyboard. As I mentioned earlier, it is on the heavy side. It’s not something I’d want to slide into a bag and carry around. Rather, it’s meant to “live” at either the office or at home and provide a solid base for your devices.

There is no flexibility on the angle at which you place your devices like you would have with a laptop-style keyboard. The keyboard has a set angle, so that’s the one you have to use. I found it to be a useful, comfortable angle, roughly 45 degrees. But if you don’t like that angle, you’re out of luck.

Bottom Line

Bottom Line

The Logitech K780 Multi-Device Keyboard lets you type at desktop speed on all of your devices, switching seamlessly between them at the touch of a button. While it is not travel-friendly, it’s solidly built and a pleasure to use. Whether you are Apple all the way, with your Mac, iPhone, and iPad, or you have a mix of PC and Google and Android smartphones and tablets, you’re covered with this flexible keyboard.
