MocaCare is back with another simple-to-use, app-enabled health monitoring device.

The company’s first product, MocaHeart, measures heart rate, blood oxygen, and pulse wave velocity. And the new MocaCuff is designed to compliment that device by acting as a wrist-worn blood pressure monitor.

Lightweight and easy to use

Lightweight and easy to use

Anyone who has ever been to the doctor should be familiar with the regular blood pressure cuff that’s worn on the upper arm. It is often uncomfortable and difficult to place well enough to take an accurate reading.

But the wireless MocaCuff is different.

The small cuff wraps around your wrist and is decidedly comfortable, even while taking a reading. After each test, the FDA-approved device will show your pulse rate, systolic and diastolic measurements, and a color-coded indicator that corresponds to the American Heart Association’s blood pressure categories.

Easily the best part of the system is the companion MocaHeart app. After each measurement, data is synced to your iPhone via Bluetooth allowing users to organize information, track and improve health trends, and more.

After each measurement, users can head to app to view actionable insights and tips to improve heart health based on guidelines from the AHA.

Along with support for multiple users, you can also share readings with doctors and others using a HIPAA-compliant chat platform.

The MocaCuff is available to preorder now directly from the company’s site for $49. It will retail for $69 when it officially hits the market sometime next month.

I’ve been using the cuff for about a week and have really been pleased. Even though I don’t have any heart health worries currently, checking my blood pressure is a cinch, and the well-designed app is a great way to examine trends over time. The app can also share information with Apple’s Health platform.

If you’re interested, MocaHeart can be purchased $149.99. Like the blood pressure monitor, the pocket-sized device syncs with an iPhone and provides way to improve your health.
