Instagram: Now Upload A Photo Within Three Seconds

December 6, 2010
The popular iOS photo uploading app, Instagram, is now seeing two to three second photo uploads. If you're not familiar with the application, here's how it's developer (Burbn, Inc.) describes it:
Instagram is an amazingly fun & simple life-sharing app for your iPhone. Snap photos wherever you go to show the world what’s going on in your life. Follow your friends’ photo updates as they move through the world. Select from photo filters that transform regular ol’ photos into works of art you’ll want to keep around forever.
Instagram users can also share their photos to popular social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter. You can also check in with Foursquare when taking a photo, to tag its location. Even though the application (which is currently limited to iOS) was released just two months ago, Instagram fans are seeing their photos upload incredibly fast. Kevin Systrom, the co-founder of the app, has noted that photos now upload via Instagram in "two to three seconds," which is incredible. I  just tried uploading a photo via Instagram, and can vouch for this statement. If you haven't yet tried Instagram, be sure to check it out. Currently, the application is available for free in the App Store, and it works like a charm. If you have an opinion on Instagram, let us know in the comments below. Thanks to Mashable for spotting this.
