Images Of "iPhone 4S" Appear On Apple's Website Ahead Of iPhone Event

The images of an upcoming iPhone 4S handset have leaked on Apple's website, ahead of the company's iPhone event. According to the leaks, the upcoming handset will launch on October 14, at eight a.m., and what's more, it looks like it'll be available with Sprint, too.
As you can see in the above screenshot, the upcoming handset will be available in both a white and black version. Here's the image of the white iPhone 4S, and here's the image of the black one.
The handset leaked on Apple's Japanese retail stores website, and featured the following description (originally in Japanese).
October 14, from 8:00 am to launch the Apple Store. To help you choose the carrier and rate plan is right for you. staff because it sets the iPhone, and is ready to start using before leaving the store. Learn more.Already, we have heard rumors claiming that Apple will launch its new iPhone handset on October 14. Now, this leak validates that rumor. The website makes no note of a redesigned "iPhone 5" smart phone, though this does not mean that such a handset will definitely not be announced later today (we're hoping there are still some surprises left, though it's not looking very positive at the minute). Update: Sprint support The image of a Sprint icon has also been found on Apple's website (via iDownloadBlog), suggesting that the iPhone 4S will be available with AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.
