Following the very sad news of Steve Jobs' passing, the release date for the Apple co-founder's biography has been brought forward to October 24.
According to the Associated Press (via The Next Web), Simon & Schuster has noted that the biography will be released on October 24. Currently, the book holds the number one spot on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble's websites.
In an article recently published by Speakeasy, it is claimed that the author of the biography (Walter Isaacson) knew Steve's illness was terminal, and that a final interview for the book took place in the weeks before his death. Preorders for the book increased by 41,800 percent today.
Besides Amazon and Barnes & Noble, Apple's own iBookstore will be selling a digital version of the biography (called "Steve Jobs"), meaning customers will be able read the volume on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
