Meijer is now offering the iPad 2 for the reduced price of $429, according to a number of ads.
The reduction - which is $70 off the product's original price - is to be available between February 12 and February 18 according to one ad, and between February 12 and February 25 according to another ad:
As you can see in the above ad, Meijer is also offering customers five dollars off Smart Covers, and a free $15 iTunes Store voucher with the purchase of an iPod touch ($195).
Meijer's offer comes ahead of the expected launch of the iPad 3 in March. The upcoming tablet, we are told, is to feature a new Retina display, a quad-core processor and perhaps even an improved camera and support for LTE.
Do remember that last year, Apple reduced the price of the original iPad to $349 following the launch of the iPad 2. Because of this, potential iPad 2 customers may wish to hold off on their purchase until the new model has been announced.
Either that, or you could spend the extra cash on a Retina-equipped iPad 3. Let us know your plans in the comments.
