Kihon Games Announces Their Second iOS Title, Dojo Danger, Coming Later 2012

April 4, 2012
Kihon Games, creators of Baby Monkey (going backwards on a pig), have announced their second iOS title. Scheduled to be released sometime in the next few months, Dojo Danger is a physics-based battle and puzzle game enjoyable by players of all ages. Featuring a top-down view, the easy to learn but difficult to master slingshot control, mazelike levels, and turn-based battling, it's no wonder Kihon Games openly admits that Dojo Danger is a mash-up influenced by BattleBots, Angry Birds, and other popular titles. In fact, the gameplay demo video, which is embedded below, instantly reminded me of the recent article I wrote about Finger Shot RPG. Playing as a team of Zombies or Ninjas, make your way through dozens of obstacle course-style levels while attempting to destroy enemy forces and complete the given objectives. Levels consist of spiked walls, pits, spinning hammers, saw blades, cannons, and numerous other hazards. In addition to the campaign mode I just finished briefly describing, Dojo Danger also includes several multiplayer battle modes. Choosing from the same Zombie or Ninja team characters, challenge opponents in standard battles, “Last Man Standing,” “Capture the Flag,” and so on. The overall feature list for Dojo Danger is as follows:
  • More than 100 levels of gameplay with more to be added
  • 5 unique areas: Dojo, Courtyard, Village, Castle and Dungeon, with more to come
  • 30 unique Ninja and Zombie characters in the game with new characters added every month
  • Each Ninja and Zombie character features specific abilities such as “Healing Touch,” “Whirlwind” and “Devour”
  • Ability to purchase new characters, unit power upgrades and additional maps and campaigns
  • Challenge your friends and get rewarded when you beat their Dojos, earn coins and get rewarded for playing
  • Game Center integration
  • Connect the game to Facebook and Twitter and show off your top scores
Dojo Danger will be compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, and available in the App Store as a free download sometime in Q2 2012. [gallery link="file" columns="4"]
