Total Annihilation Awaits In Official 'Total Recall' Game For iOS

July 27, 2012
The official tie-in game for the upcoming feature film "Total Recall" has been released today. Simply and rather predictably, the game is called Total Recall Game. But contrary to what its title may suggest, Total Recall Game is not a memory game. Sorry, my fellow mnemonically inclined players. Fans of first person shooter games, however, have reason to rejoice. Made by Electric City: The Revolt developer Jump Games, Total Recall Game promises to be just that, a fast-paced first person rail shooter to be exact. The film it's based on is, of course, a remake of the 1990 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. While the plot of the remake differs considerably from that of the original, the story of Total Recall Game follows that of its source material. It goes:
It is the year 2084, and you suddenly find yourself on the run from mysterious assailants after a trip to the memory implant center Rekall goes horribly wrong. The Fate of the World hangs in the balance, as the line between Fantasy and Reality dissolves into a Paranoid Dream.
And so, as Douglas Quaid (portrayed by Colin Farrell in the new movie), you must accomplish missions that require plenty of first-person weapon discharge. "Total Recall" opens in cinemas a week from now, but Total Recall Game for iPhone and iPad is available now in the App Store for $1.99. As you proceed in the game, you gain access to an assortment of weapons to mow down your enemies with. You also get to engage in serious battle in 3-D environments inspired by some of the major locations in the movie. Total Recall Game sure sounds like a game so intense that you might end up saying to it, "Baby, you make me wish I had three hands."
