Is Trivie - Battle Of Wits Your Final Answer?

August 3, 2012
It appears that Trivie - Battle of Wits! is fighting its own battle of wits. With fellow turn-based iOS trivia game Trivial, that is. Just three days ago, Trivial was updated with a new look and random matchmaking, among other enhancements. Today, it's Trivie's turn to get updated with a few enhancements of its own. First, Trivie has gained a built-in chat functionality. Now that this much-requested feature has arrived, you can now praise and, more importantly, tease your opponent as you play. You can start chatting by tapping "Game Chat" while in a game. Second, Trivie now supports Game Center matchmaking. Just tap "Game Center Friend" among the selections for starting a Trivie Smackdown with a friend. Trivie automatically detects who among your Game Center friends have played the game, so you don't need to enter any usernames. Featuring a winning interface and a large question database, Trivie - Battle of Wits! is available in the App Store for free. A $0.99 paid version that lets you earn double tokens over the free version is also available. It is currently designed for iPhone and iPod touch, but is totally playable on the iPad. The latest Trivie update also promises "lots of optimizations, fixes, and gameplay tweaks to make Trivie the best social trivia experience on the iPhone!" I don't know about you, but if I were asked, "What is the best social trivia game on iOS right now?" I'd answer Trivie. And that's my final answer.
