There's No Untethered iOS 6 Jailbreak Available Yet

September 30, 2012
Speaking yesterday at JailbreakCon in San Francisco, Calif., the "jailbreak mastermind" @pod2g (real name: Cyril) noted that there is no known untethered jailbreak solution available for iOS 6. Though this is disappointing news, jailbreakers should be aware that it's already possible to apply a tethered jailbreak to A4-powered iDevices running iOS 6. Apparently, @pod2g opened his JailbreakCon talk with the self-directed question and answer:
Will I release the iOS 6 jailbreak today? No! Of Course not!
Though there is currently no working untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 6, this doesn't mean jailbreakers like @pod2g have given up hope. Instead, it just means that we'll likely not see one launch for a couple of months. As always, we'll keep you updated on the latest jailbreak-related news, so check back with us. Source: Cult of Mac
