Get ready to show off those hairpin maneuvering skills in this action-packed, retro-style space shooter. As you soar only feet above shimmering water, weave past asteroids and through rocky tunnels, and elegantly swoop to destroy anti-air guns using tilt controls, you’ll appreciated the passionately crafted 3-D graphics similar to classic favorites like Star Fox.
The increasingly difficult missions will take you across the surface and skies of eight different planets to destroy a multitude of challenging enemies. There’s anything from the aforementioned stationary guns to giant robot walkers and warships. At the end of each missions, your final task is to annihilate a powerful “boss” enemy, otherwise, it’s back to the beginning.
For a little assistance, there are large gold coins placed in several areas of the terrain. An optional objective, collecting these coins will allow you to purchase missiles and revives as well as perform two types of upgrades of your ship’s weapons and shield. You can either upgrade a currently installed component or replace it entirely, such as going from a single laser to a plasma cannon. There are five total weapon and four total shield configurations to choose from.
