Updated Find My iPhone App Now Has Driving Directions To A Device's Location

December 11, 2012
Since starting here at AppAdvice, my friends and family new to the world of iOS devices always seem to ask me one question – what is the first app they should download? And my answer is always easy: Find My iPhone. If you haven’t heard about the free iCloud service, you need to. With it, users can locate, lock, or even erase a lost or stolen, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac computer. And Apple’s handy app has just been updated to version 2.0.1. Most importantly, the app now has driving directions to a device’s location. Just don’t lose your device in the middle of the Australian desert. Also, the Play Sound, Lost Mode, and Erase buttons appear separately from the map view. Find My iPhone is a universal app for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. If you haven’t downloaded the app, go and do it now.
