Real Racing 3, the latest installment in the popular racing game series created by Firemint, was first reported to debut on iOS tomorrow, Feb 28. Earlier this month, though, the game was released in App Stores in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. But what about the rest of the world? Well, I’m glad to report that it is now available in other App Stores as well, including the U.S. App Store.

Developed by Firemonkeys and published by Electronic Arts, Real Racing 3 had been much awaited since it was first demoed at Apple’s iPhone 5 event in September last year. And now, the wait is finally over for all of us.

In a manner of speaking, Real Racing 3 lives up to the adjective in its name as it features real cars, real tracks, and real people.

The game lets you push the pedal to the metal in cars rendered from the designs of well-known manufacturers, including Porsche, Lamborghini, Dodge, Bugatti, and Audi.

It also lets you race in virtual tracks inspired by real ones, including Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone, and Hockenheimring.

And as for real people, Real Racing 3 enables you to race against them, specifically your Game Center and Facebook friends. With the game’s Time Shifted Multiplayer feature, you can race them anytime, even if they’re offline.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later, Real Racing 3 is available now in the U.S. App Store and elsewhere as a high-octane freemium title.

The previous games in the series, Real Racing, Real Racing HD, Real Racing 2, and Real Racing 2 HD, are still available in the App Store.

Ready, set, go download it now!
