Best Buy Drops The Price On iPhones By $50

May 24, 2013
Best Buy is dropping the price for iPhones by $50. The four-week promotion begins on Sunday, May 26. To qualify for the promotion, customers must sign a two-year contract with Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint, according to AllThingsD. Here are the new prices for iPhones at Best Buy, as of Sunday:
  • iPhone 5, 16GB, $149
  • iPhone 5, 32GB, $249
  • iPhone 5, 64GB, $349
  • iPhone 4S, 16GB, $49
These price drops are great for those looking for a new iPhone. Of course, they also suggest that Best Buy is clearing inventory ahead of the launch of Apple's seventh-generation iPhone. The latest rumors suggest that Apple won't release new iPhones until August or September. At that time, Cupertino may announce the so-called "iPhone 5S" as well as a budget phone. These aren’t the only Memorial Day related sales set to arrive at Best Buy. From Sunday through June 1, they are offering the Samsung Galaxy S III for $49 on AT&T or Sprint. Also available: the HTC Droid DNA for Verizon for $49 ($150 savings), and the HTC One X on AT&T for free (a $100 price cut).
