Top Grossing Freemium Match-Three Game Candy Crush Saga Gains New Levels

July 16, 2013
The hugely (and I do mean HUGELY) popular freemium match-three game Candy Crush Saga has just been updated with a couple of new episodes and a couple of new features. The two new episodes are called Pudding Pagoda and Licorice Towers:
  • Enjoy a huge helping of the NEW EPISODE Pudding Pagoda.
  • Marvel at the joy of the NEW EPISODE Licorice Towers.
An episode in Candy Crush Saga typically contains 15 episodes, which means that, with the addition of the aforementioned two episodes, the game's level count has just increased by 30. (My math skills are unmatched, I know.) And just so you know, Candy Crush Saga now has a whopping 395 mouthwatering levels. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. As for the game's two new features, one is the new Cake Bomb blocker that can clear the entire game board and the other is language support for Croatian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, and Slovak. The new version of Candy Crush Saga is available now in the App Store for free. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later. Candy Crush Saga is developed by King, which is also the creator of Bubble Witch Saga and Pet Rescue Saga, among other social games. Last week, it was reported that Candy Crush Saga's 6.7 million active users are earning King around $633,000 per day. Small wonder, then, that the game continues to be the No. 1 top grossing app in the App Store. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
