Run, Jump And Gobble Up Ghosts In Pac-Man-Dash, Out Now On iOS
July 18, 2013
It seems that there are now three things in life that are certain: death, taxes, and endless running games based on classic video games.
Since August last year, an endless runner based on the 1982 Atari 2600 game Pitfall! has been available on iOS. So, why not have an endless runner based on what is arguably the most popular arcade game of all time, right? Right?
I am, of course, talking about Pac-Man, which, at long last, has finally been given the endless running game treatment with the release of Pac-Man Dash!.
Indeed, Pac-Man Dash!, which has just been launched on iOS by NamcoBandai, is essentially a Pac-Man-themed endless runner.
In the game, you have to run across different stages, ranging from the title character's home city to a ghostly underworld. As you do, you also have to jump and gobble up cookies and ghosts along the way.

Like most other games in its genre, Pac-Man Dash! comes with a variety of missions to complete and power-ups to unlock.
But unlike most other runners, the game offers up to four different game files on which to save games by different players. What's more, cookies and items can be shared across these game files.
Also featuring iCloud support for cross-device game syncing, Pac-Man Dash! is available now in the App Store for free. The game is optimized for iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, fifth-generation iPod touch, third-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPad, and iPad mini.
