Vevo For iOS Adds AirPlay Support For Vevo TV Ahead Of Apple TV App Launch

Vevo for iOS has just been updated with AirPlay support for its MTV-like music video streaming feature. The official iOS apps of the popular music video and entertainment platform, Vevo for iPhone and Vevo HD for iPad, have long enabled AirPlay for watching individual videos on Apple TV. It's only now, though, that AirPlay support has been enabled for watching the 24/7 stream of music videos known as Vevo TV. Launched last March, Vevo TV is a special channel in Vevo and Vevo HD that plays an uninterrupted stream of music videos, live performances, and original shows. Vevo TV lets you watch live or set a reminder to watch a program later. And now, it lets you watch on your Apple TV via AirPlay. Compatible with iDevices running on iOS 5.0 or later, Vevo for iPhone and Vevo HD for iPad are both available in the App Store for free. The implementation of AirPlay support for Vevo TV comes just a week after reports of an upcoming Vevo TV app for Apple TV emerged. The app is said to be released as early as this month, following HBO Go and WatchESPN as the latest additions to the Apple TV platform. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
