Vevo Launches MTV-Like Nonstop Music Video Stream

March 13, 2013
The popular music video website Vevo has just introduced a new feature akin to MTV. That is, akin to MTV back when MTV was still true to its "music television" name. And this new feature has also been rolled out to the official Vevo apps for iPhone and iPad. The new feature in question is called Vevo TV. Essentially, Vevo TV streams music videos 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Again, it's just like MTV back in the day. According to The Next Web, Michael Cerda, Vice President of Product and Engineering at Vevo, remarked that Vevo TV …
… has been introduced as a way to tackle the “paradox of choice,” where consumers are overwhelmed by too many media options. He says that young people of the millennial generation who have never known a world without the Internet missed the heyday of music video channels.
As mentioned, Vevo TV, which is initially available in the U.S. and Canada, is now available on iOS. You can access it by tapping the new bottom bar in Vevo for iPhone and Vevo HD for iPad. The new Vevo TV bottom bar is actually just one of the design tweaks that have been applied to the Vevo apps, which also include a new brand logo and app icon. Compatible with iDevices running iOS 5.0 or later, Vevo for iPhone and Vevo HD for iPad are available in the App Store for free. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
