You Can Now Play As Usain Bolt, The Fastest Man On Earth, In Temple Run 2
A couple of weeks after it gained three new playable characters, Temple Run 2 has just added another playable character. And this new one is arguably the fastest yet. The sequel to the hugely popular Temple Run initially featured Guy Dangerous, Scarlett Fox, Barry Bones, and Karma Lee as its playable characters. But its previous update introduced three more: Francisco Montoya the conquistador, Zack Wonder the footballer, and Montana Smith the explorer. This time, the latest update to Temple Run 2 adds a new playable character that's based on an actual person. And mind you, he's no ordinary person, because he's none other than the famous Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt:
Announcing the first guest star in Temple Run history - Usain Bolt! That's right, you can now run as the fastest man on Earth to escape from your favorite Evil Demon Monkey! And you're going to love your unique Bolt powerup!Unlike the other playable characters, though, Bolt may not be unlocked by spending a certain amount of coins. Rather, he can be purchased for $0.99 for a limited time only. You see, as noted by Touch Arcade, Bolt is equipped with a special ability in the form of an electric bolt (heh) shield that provides invincibility, offers auto-guidance, and attracts coins. So, if you wish to unlock that triple treat of an ability while playing as the fastest man ever, get Bolt now in Temple Run 2's Upgrades section. And as Temple Run creator Imangi Studios advises, "hurry, he goes fast!" The new version of Temple Run 2 is available now in the App Store for free. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later. A week ago, Temple Run: Oz, the endless running game based on Disney's "Oz the Great and Powerful," was updated with a new location: the heart of the land of Oz itself, Emerald City.
