Facebook’s iOS 7 Update Features A New Menu Bar

September 18, 2013
Joining the crowd, Facebook has just updated its official iOS app. Along with a look inspired by the newly released iOS 7, version 6.5 also has a few new features. First up, only for iOS 7 devices, a translucent bar at the top of the app will change dynamically as users scroll through different photos and posts. If a story has been tapped, swipe from left to right to return to the News Feed. Tapping on the bottom of the screen will call up a navigation bar for users to switch from News Feeds, to friend requests, messages, or notifications much faster. The More button in the bar will show options like Timeline, groups, events, and much more. Here’s a quick video, courtesy of 9to5Mac, that shows the updated app in action. Click here if you can’t see the video. Facebook is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free.
