Yahoo Updates Main iOS App With iOS 7 Redesign Plus New Features

September 18, 2013
Yahoo! The main iOS app of Yahoo has received its iOS 7 update, just in time for the release of Apple's next-generation mobile operating system later today. Of course, seeing as it's the app's iOS 7 update, the new update to Yahoo for iOS introduces a revamped visual design that matches the look and feel of iOS 7. What's more, the redesign offers an improved experience for videos and slideshows. Yahoo notes in its blog post about the update:
You can switch categories quicker than ever, and you’ll notice that the stream has been given a cleaner look to make it more readable. When you tap an article, you’ll see that we try to include a beautiful, relevant photo with each story. Some of them even have cinemagraphs - very subtly animated photos that bring the story to life.
In addition to its iOS 7 UI tweaks, the new version of Yahoo for iOS lets you save articles for later and receive notifications for breaking news. It also includes an improved news section filter. Also sporting Yahoo's new logo, the new iOS 7-ready version of Yahoo for iOS is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later.
