Actually, M.U.L.E. was initially scheduled to make its comeback a year ago. But some unforeseen circumstances hindered it from making the deadline.
All’s well that ends well, though, since the game has finally made its way to the iOS platform, three decades after its original release on such computers as the Atari 8-bit and the Commodore 64.

Originally published by Electronic Arts, M.U.L.E is made available on mobile in the form of MULE Returns by Comma 8 Studios, which notes that:
MULE is a ridiculously fun and addictive strategy game that combines real-time and turn-based styles as you battle for land and resources on a newly colonized planet. The game is easy to grasp but provides great depth of gameplay.
MULE Returns challenges four players to strategize and colonize a planet by using Multiple Use Labor Elements or M.U.L.E.s to develop and harvest resources.
True to its source material, MULE Returns keeps the characters, maps, and behaviors from the original game intact. But it also features new achievements and leaderboards as well as enhanced graphics and remixes of the M.U.L.E. theme.
Thankfully, MULE Returns includes no ads and no in-app purchases whatsoever. So, you need not worry about accumulating M.U.L.E.s just to get rid of advertising or unlock additional items in the game.
