Thor: The Dark World - The Official Game Gets Struck By First Content Update

Thor: The Dark World - The Official Game has just been issued its first ever update, which happens to be a major one in that it adds new content to the game. As its name plainly suggests, the game is the official game of "Thor: The Dark World," the sequel to Marvel's first "Thor" film. Following the film’s basic storyline, the game lets players play as Thor to fight against Malekith, the lord of the Dark Elves. Launched a week before the theatrical release of "Thor: The Dark World" on Nov. 8, the game has just received its first update, thereby gaining several gameplay enhancements. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. First off, the update brings a new battle arena in the form of Svartalfheim, the home of the Dark Elves. Svartalfheim's inclusion in Thor: The Dark World comes with the addition of 18 new missions and the arrival of two new bosses, one of whom is none other than Malekith himself. Thor: The Dark World's first update also includes new traps, new enemies, new obstacles, and new cutscenes. The new version of Thor: The Dark World - The Official Game is available now in the App Store for free. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. Thor: The Dark World is published by Gameloft, which is also the publisher of the official iOS games of two other Marvel superhero movies, "Iron Man 3" and "The Amazing Spider-Man."
