The Minions Go On A Destructive Shopping Spree In Despicable Me: Minion Rush

November 6, 2013
The Minions are still on the loose. And this time, they're wreaking havoc in a brand new location in their wildly popular endless running game, Despicable Me: Minion Rush. Launched on iOS last June, Despicable Me: Minion Rush is, of course, based on "Despicable Me" and "Despicable Me 2," which was released in July. The game received its first update a month after its launch, thereby gaining a new environment called El Macho's Lair, which is inspired by the villain's hideout in the sequel. Then, in September, it was updated with a summery Minion Beach environment. And a month ago, it got an update that added Halloween decorations to the existing Gru's Residential area. Now, a fun new environment has been added to Despicable Me: Minion Rush in the form of the Mall, which is a pivotal setting in "Despicable Me 2." If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. The latest update to the game also lets you discover a new secret area called The Paradise Theater and collect four new costumes, including the Girl and Grandpa Minions. The update also kicks off the Daily Bapple Hunt, which challenges you to find all of the Bapples to win a Prize Pod, which contains a reward, every day. Also including miscellaneous bug fixes and optimizations, the new version of Despicable Me: Minion Rush is available now in the App Store for free. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. For more notable endless running games on iOS, check out AppAdvice's Endless Running Games AppGuide.
