Over-The-Top Tower Defense And Strategy Game OTTTD Gets First Major Update

July 8, 2014
OTTTD — the aptly named "over-the-top" tower defense (OTTTD for short) and real-time strategy game featuring an octopus on a chopper, among other outrageous things (see video below) — has just received its first major update. The first major update to OTTTD, which was released last May, introduces a new endless mode, comprising five endless missions with their own Game Center leaderboards. It also adds five new tough campaign levels, more than 20 new enemies, and more than 30 pieces of upgradeable armor to equip your heroes with. The new version of OTTTD also features the Herocorp Tactical Field Guide, which serves as a comprehensive encyclopedia of all monsters, heroes, and tower types in the game. Another notable addition to OTTD is cloud syncing, enabling you to save your game on one device to the cloud and restore it on other devices. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. The OTTTD update also includes the following improvements:
  • Control the level of Gore, from none, to full bloody carnage
  • More hero names to choose from
  • Memory enhancements to make the game play smoother
  • Skill reset. Reset your skill tree to change your heroes strengths and abilities
  • Performance tuning, overall FPS increase
  • Later levels reward you with more loot.
The new version of OTTTD is available now on the App Store as a free update or as a new $2.99 download. The game is compatible with iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, fifth-generation iPod touch, iPad 2, third-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina display.
